Nationwide Under 15 Competition

South Wilts Juniors Set For Regionals

South Wilts U15's progressed into the Regional Finals of the Nationwide National T20 cup with a comfortable 14 run win over Hampshire champions Hambledon. Scorecard
 
Batting first South Wilts set a workmanlike total of 106 - 4 from their 20 overs. Main contributors as in the previous round were James Haggaty 35 not out and Sam Pittman 28. Despite being kept in the hunt early doors with 25 from Chris Stone, Hambledon were never allowed to get in front of the run rate against some quality Wilts bowling, being finally held at 91-9. Pick of the bowlers were the first change pairing of Ed Roffe 4-17 and Jack Mynott 3-15 backed up by some super outfielding.
 
South Wilts now travel to Weston Super Mare on Thursday 31 Aug with the mouth watering prospect of a place in the National Final awaiting the winners.

South Wilts U15's victorious

Last 32

Scorecard - South Wilts U15's sailed into the last 32 of the National U15 Nationwide sponsored T20 competition, with a thumping 112 run win over Ryde Cavaliers.
 
Batting first the home side capatilised on some wayward bowling from the islanders making 165 for 8 from their allotted 20 overs. Main contributors were James Haggaty 51 retired and Sam Pittman 34.
 
Set such a stiff task Ryde had no answers to the accurate home side attack closing on a distant 53-7. All the bowlers finished with very creditable figures, most noteworthy being Marc Burton with 3-6.
 
South Wilts now travel to the Hampshire winner Hambledon on 20 July with a place in the last 16 and South West Regional final. 

County Finals

South Wilts were victorious over Biddestone in the County final held at the National sponsors, Nationwide, Ground in Swindon. Although the weather allowed for a game the pitch was wet and did not allow for a game that both sides deserved but nevertheless South Wilts were victorious and have now gone on to the regional rounds.

At Under 15 level, Swindon based Nationwide Building Society have become the new sponsors of the national 20 over cup. In 2008, 22 clubs from Wiltshire have competed. If your club would like to get involved in the Nationwide Under 15 competition in the future then please contact ChrisSheppard

MCC Spirit of Cricket Under 13 Competition

The MCC Spirit of Cricket sponsors the national under 13 competition and in 2008 there are 21 clubs competing within the county. The draw for the 2008 competition has been made.

MCC Spirit of Cricket Under 13 2008 Results

This week has seen the semi finals of the Cup Competition and now we know who the finalists are; Marlborough and Chippenham. Congratualtions must go to Redlynch & Hale and Marshfield for going this far with the best of luck to the 2 finalists next week, lets hope the great English weather doe snot get in the way.
