Higher Level Training
We do not have any plans to deliver any higher level umpiring training at this point in time.
Other Educational Training
These 2 - 4 hours seminars are offered to clubs, youth sections to help clubs attract parents whose youngsters are playing in Age Group matches to stand as umpires, thus releasing the Coaches to look after the playing aspect of their team and players. The County Education Officer can run these seminars at any dates suitable to clubs or a group of clubs on dates that do not conflict with the course dates above. We would suggest that Close to the beginning of the 2013 season would be best to afford skill loss.
Understanding the Umpire
This is a one hour seminar designed by Peter Hemmings and is currently presented to the ECB National Performance Centre to the Cricket Talent Testing programme for 80 best Under 13 yr olds and Under 16 yr olds in the country. It is an ideal vehicle to brief Clubs, their Captains, players and coaches.
