'Sloggerz' Holiday Camps
'Sloggerz' cricket camps are a joint initiative between Wiltshire Council and Wiltshire Cricket and are holiday camps aimed at children, boys and girls, between the ages of 6 and 12. At these camps, experienced coaches will lead coaching sessions for young people of all experience and ability - no prior experience is required, just a love of the game and an interest in getting involved! The camps costs £50 per person and places are allocated on a first come first served basis.
Focusing on fun games, individual skill development and soft ball matches, the camps will provide male and female participants with the chance to take part in the game regardless of prior experience.

Here is the information on our camps taking place in 2018:
Malmesbury CC Camp 2018:
Just a quick note to say thank you so much for putting on such a terrific 3 days of cricket instruction. James & William enjoyed every moment of it, and came away with lots of new ideas to improve their play, and said that every drill was run around a game, which made the learning extra fun. Many thanks for organising such a great week, and they hope they maybe able to take part next year"
Cricket Club Camps
As well as the Sloggerz camps that we run as a Cricket Board there are many other camps out there should you not be able to make ours. We will happily promote cricket clubs own camps in addition to ours if you wish. Please contact Pete Sykes for assistance with this; firstname.lastname@example.org

2017 Sloggerz Camp Report
Sloggerz Cricket camps returned for a fith year and had more camps running than ever before. The camps run as part of the Wiltshire Council Get Active scheme and form a big part of the county's drive to creating opportunities for young people to lead active lives.
Our cricket camps this year took place at Chilmark, Malmesbury, Marlborough, Trowbridge and Amesbury. Each camp saw it's fair share of wet weather but it didn't stop the attendees having a fantastic time, learning new skills, playing new games and meeting new people.
We had everyone from experienced district players to first time cricketers and it was great to see everybody joining in together to enjoy cricket as a group. Some highlights included - baseball cricket, criss-cross cricket, spin bowling, power hitting and of course everybody's favourite diamond cricket! We saw real improvement and growth not only in skills but in confidence and stature.
A huge thanks to our host clubs for 2017, it was fantastic to showcase a range of different facilities on offer around the county and the difference cricket can make in the local community. Well done to all our coaches, Rob, Laura, Joe and Aled for keeping spirits high during the damp parts!
Whether you play cricket already or are interested in giving it a go, this will be a great way of making friends, developing skills and having fun!
