Wiltshire CCC keep hopes alive of reaching the Knock out stages of the Unicorns Knock Out Trophy

Wiltshire kept their hopes alive of reaching the Knock out stages of the Unicorns Knock Out Trophy when they beat Bedfordshire by 122 runs at Warminster on Sunday.

Bedfordshire won the toss and asked Wiltshire to bat. They were all out for 259 in the 50th over.  Tom Morton scored 37, Mikey Reynolds 67 and Michael Coles 57.  For Bedfordshire J Carpenter took 3 for 65 and G Thurstance 3 for 59.

In reply Bedfordshire were all out in the 29th over for 137.  The Wiltshire seam bowlers proved too much for the visiting batsmen.  Andy Carroll led the way with 4 for 21 off 10 overs, assisted by 18 year old Archie Easton on debut 3 for 44 and James Arney 2 for 28.

Next Sunday May 14th, Wiltshire play their final group match in the Unicorns Knock Out Trophy when they play Hertfordshire at Hertford Cricket Club starting at 11.00am.   This is a match Wiltshire must win to qualify for the Quarter Finals.
