Women's Soft Ball Festivals confirmed for 2018

As in 2017, Women’s Soft Ball Cricket (14+) is a key growth initiative for the ECB and Wiltshire Cricket, and following the success of the Women’s Soft Ball Festivals last year, they are back for 2018!

The festivals are a great opportunity for ladies to take part in cricket fixtures in a fun, enthusiastic, social and lively environment. Each festival will allow ladies to develop their skills in a match play environment, and the festivals are therefore open to new, existing or lapsed players!! (Unfortunately, County Players will not be able to participate this year, but are encouraged to assist with officiating).

Therefore, even if your club does not have a current ladies section, these festivals could still be of interest to some of your members!

In 2018, it would be great to encourage lots of existing players and new faces to take part, therefore, please forward the following information within your cricket club, to your friends, family, colleagues etc! (Business teams, Friend teams, family teams all welcome!). Alternatively, should your club wish to start a ladies cricket section, please feel free to contact Sam Dent regarding this!

FESTIVAL DATES (PLEASE FORWARD TO AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE)

(All Participants must register in order to participate – registration is approx. 2 mins).

***More Festival Dates and Venues to Follow in a few days, please follow Wiltshire Cricket on Social Media for more information***

In 2017, Wiltshire’s Women’s Soft Ball Cricket Festivals were rated as 9.23/10 by the ladies themselves, and many clubs have now formed sustainable women’s cricket sections as a result of this initiative, thus helping these clubs to further develop and perhaps provide them with additional opportunities for small grants. In fact, many clubs with a ladies section are now thriving throughout the club and are going from strength to strength!

Wiltshire Cricket hopes that women's soft ball cricket will be of interest. For more information please don't hesitate to contact Sam Dent
