Vitality Under 13 & Under 15 National Club Competition 2024 Entries NOW OPEN!!

We are delighted to announce the launch of the Vitality National Club T20 competitions for Under 13s and Under 15s for the 2024 season.

The closing date for entries is 22^nd March 2024, after which time the draw will be made and published, along with the rules and regs. The main regulation at this time of registration is that each club may enter only one team in each of the two competitions – Under 13s Age Group and Under 15s Age Group. To enter either competition, please complete the relevant forms below;

Key Dates – The fixture dates below are deadlines for matches to be played, however clubs are welcome to arrange matches before the deadline date except for the final (County rounds only).

Vitality U13 Club T20 – in association with Marlborough College

First round – played by 8^th May

Second round – played by 22^nd May

Quarter Finals - played by 5^th June

Semi Finals - played by 19^th June

Final – played by 3^rd July

National Stage Round 1 (Wiltshire have a bye) - Sunday 7 July

National Stage Round 2 (vs Somerset Away) - Sunday 14 July

National Stage Regional Finals - Monday 29 & Tuesday 30 July

National Semi Finals - Monday 12 August

Additionally, we have also been informed of some hugely exciting news for the U13 and U15 competitions– the 2024 Finals are due to take place at Lords again!! This is a fantastic opportunity and would recommend that as many teams enter these competitions as possible in 2024!

The ECB are making final adjustment to the regulations at this time; however the match play regulations are expected to be largely unchanged.

Coloured Clothing

Coloured clothing will continue to be encouraged for this competition but is not compulsory. However, clothing must not be the same colour as the ball being used, i.e. red or pink.

Retiring Batters

As with the previous year’s competitions, batters will be required to retire on reaching the following milestones and will not be allowed to return in the event of the side being bowled out:

Under 13s – 30 runs
Under 15s – 50 runs

Pitch Lengths

Under 13s matches will be played on 19 yards wickets.

Under 15s matches will be played on 22 yards wickets.

Girls Playing Out of Age Group

A reminder that at the National Competition level, girls are not permitted to play down an age group as is more normal in local club-based competition.

That is, girls may play in the their own age group or up an age group but not play down an age group.

Under 13s girls can play in the Under 13s and Under 15s competition, Under 15s girls may only play in the Under 15s competition.

Under 17s girls are not permitted to play in these two competitions.
