Job Vacancy - Wiltshire and Gloucestershire Cricket Marketing and Communications Officer

With both Gloucestershire and Wiltshire having recently undertaken robust consultation processes to support strategies for 2020-2024, it was identified that the work in both counties would benefit greatly from dedicated marketing and communications support to raise the profile of, and to promote the work that will be done during that strategic period. With many of the work programmes being similar if not the same across the two counties we are excited to be able to offer a full time position for somebody with a passion for increasing participation and involvement within cricket, through outstanding marketing and communications.
As part of the development teams in both counties, the Marketing and Communications Officer will lead on producing a Marketing and Communications strategy for both counties, and delivering its content, in order to help us to reach more people and achieve the aims within the two counties’ strategies. Within this overarching strategy, we would expect a focus on the following areas:
- Digital Platforms
- Online Newsletters
- High quality marketing materials
- External Media outlets
- Partners and Sponsors
We are seeking to employ a highly motivated, driven and competent Officer that will work within the Cricket Development teams in both counties. Part of the role’s focus will be working with traditional cricket partners, such as clubs and schools, however we would also expect the role to investigate new markets and partners to help drive participation to new audiences. With that in mind we are seeking an innovative individual who will bring enthusiasm and fresh ideas.
Candidates must demonstrate both team working skills and the ability to work unsupervised using their own initiative. You will be a self-starter with energy and enthusiasm together with good administration and organisational skills. Equally you will be an excellent communicator with a passion for the development of cricket/sport for young people.
