Two wins for Marlborough Schools on ESCA Champions League Match Day Two

Batting first seemed to have no advantage to the team on Match Day 2 of the ESCA competition. Of the six matches, three teams won batting first and three batting second.

 

St Johns Marlborough, Marlborough College and Bishops Wordsworth all won easily having set a challenging target. Dauntseys' , Warminster School and Royal Wootton Bassett Academy all won chasing.

Kingsbury Green Academy (294 & 231) lost to Dauntseys' School (338 & 188-4) by 6 wickets

The Commonweal School (209 & 158) lost to Warminster School (156 & 212-6) by 4 wickets

Sheldon School (174 & 194) lost to Royal Wootton Bassett Academy (262 & 107-3) by 7 wickets

Bishops Wordsworth's (345 & 334) beat Kingdown School (302 & 348) by 29 runs.
