Swindon come out victors in Vitality Under 15 T20 Final

Warminster Cricket Club was the host for the county final of this year's Vitality Under 15 T20 club competition.

On a lovely evening, Heytesbury Sutton Veny and Warminster won the toss and put Swindon in to bat first. In a tight innings, Jacob Hobson shone through for Swindon scoring 49 in a competitive total of 99-7 from the 20 over. For HSV/Warminster Henry Williams returned fantastic figures of 3-10 from his 3 overs.

In reply, HSV/Warminster started well reaching 49-2 at around the half way point. However, with the game well set the Swindon death bowlers bowled wonderfully well to deny HSV/Warminster the ability to keep up with the run rate. In the end they reached 80-8 ultimately falling 19 runs short. For Swindon there were figures of 3-13 for Rhys Baker from his 4 overs.

The game as a whole was played in good spirit with brilliant support from the parents and coaches on both sides. Our thanks go to Warminster CC for hosting so well, to the coaches and scorers, and to the appointed umpires; Barry Stygal and Rocky Riccalton.

Swindon now progress to the regional stage of the competition where all of the county wishes them well
