Purton CC Bicentennial Celebrations

Purton Cricket Club, one of the oldest clubs in the country, last year celebrated its 200th anniversary. To mark this bicentenary the club has rearranged the friendly match against the MCC.

The match will take place at Purton Cricket Ground on Sunday 29th August from noon and will be the centrepiece of a day of fun at the club.

Callum Wright, Club Chairman said, “This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the club and celebrate a major milestone in our history. Apart from the match itself there will be food, drink, games and music. We can’t wait to welcome our members, sponsors and the local community to the event which we believe will be a fantastic family day out.” 

There are a limited number of tickets left at £10 each for over 18s, with car parking at £5 per car. So if you wish to reserve your tickets please do so early, indicating how many adult tickets you require and how many children you intend to bring by emailing [email protected].
