Heytesbury and Sutton Veny CC - Help to save the Heytesbury Parkland
On behalf of the Heytesbury Recreation Ground Trust …

The Heytesbury Recreation Ground Trust was established by a group of Heytesbury villagers in 2024 as a response to widespread concern that the Heytesbury parkland was in danger of being lost to the village through a commercial sale. This is the land on which Heytesbury and Sutton Veny CC calls home.
The trust was created with a straightforward purpose: to secure this valuable green space for generations to come. The aim is to maintain the parkland's natural character while ensuring it continues to serve as a venue for cricket, football and other community activities.
One of the purposes of the Trust is to possibly acquire the land. To assist with this, the Trust s taking pledge, which you can read about here; https://www.hrgtrust.co.uk/
There is also a GoFundMe page to allow direct donations of any amount to be made.
Wiltshire Cricket fully realise that all clubs will have their own challenges currently but through the power of the Cricket community we believe it’s important that stories like this our shared. At the very minimum it raises awareness of the sad prospect of a thriving cricket club losing a crucial facility but also it might just open up avenues to sources of financial support. With that in mind, we know that Justin Wagstaff, Chair at Heytesbury and Sutton Veny CC, would be delighted to hear from anyone who might be able to support in any way.
