Schools Days - Thursday 11th July and Friday 12th July

To help make the event a real opportunity to promote the women's game, and Cricket in general, Wiltshire Cricket is delighted to have teamed up with Marlborough College to help support the three days. One initiative we will be running on days 1 and 2 is a Schools Day. We are delighted to invite primary schools to enjoy a day of FREE education and cricket at Marlborough College during the prestigious match being hosted at the college between England Academy and Australia A. Places for schools are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. For more information, please contact Pete Sykes:

On each of the days schools will receive the following programme:

  • 10.30am – Arrival and meet and greet
  • 11am – Watch the cricket with an activity to do during the morning session
  • 1pm – A cricket activity on the outfield during the players’ lunch break
  • 2pm – Return to school (or you would be welcome to stay for the remainder of the afternoon providing appropriate supervision)

What are the benefits of the day?

The day is a great way to introduce children to the game of cricket in what will be a fun and informal day.

On the day, your pupils will get to watch international cricketers at the beautiful Marlborough College setting and will then get to experience playing on the same outfield that they will have watched those players on during the morning.
