Wiltshire Cricket Groundsman's Spring Workshop - Sunday 5th April

Following the successful delivery of in house workshops since 2017, the Wiltshire Cricket Groundsman’s Association is delighted to confirm the details of their upcoming workshop, as follows:

Spring Workshop

Sunday 5th April 2020

Warminster Cricket Club, Sambourne Road, Warminster, BA12 8LH

9.15am start, 3pm finish

With the current rainfall and challenging winter conditions that groundsmen have faced, we hope this workshop will be well received as an opportunity to meet with your peers and receive support and guidance as we get ready for the Cricket season. Broadly, the workshop will cover:

  • Autumn and winter 2019 recovery
  • Pre-season square maintenance. Do's, Don’ts. Reducing HOC for square.
  • Vertigrooming.
  • Setting out.
  • Fertiliser application, weed , pest and disease treatments . Understand what YOUR square needs
  • Cultural methods for control of pests
  • Rolling
  • Covers usage
  • Outside demonstrations ( weather permitting) 
  • Question and Answer session to close

At £50 per head for this workshop, and given the feedback received from previous workshops, we are very confident that this represents excellent value for money.

Tea and coffee will be provided -  please bring your own lunch.
