Robert Le Kyng finish on top in Swindon South Schools "virtual" Kwik Cricket Competition

A thrilling virtual festival was held today with 17 schools represented throughout.

Shaw Ridge School were the only team to go through the group stages with a 100% record. Wroughton School and Lethbridge School finished their game on a tie, with a four off the last ball from the Lethbridge batters.

The group winners and runners up went through to the quarter finals where Wanborough beat Holy Rood, Peatmoor beat Shaw Ridge, Robert Le Kyng beat Chiselden and Lethbridge beat Brook Field.

Both semi-finals were tight with the teams losing less wickets ultimately making it through to the final. Wanborough beating Lethbridge and Robert Le Kyng beating Peatmoor.

The final itself was a wicket taking exhibition with 15 wickets being taken across the two innings. However in the end, Robert Le Kyng School proved victorious by 44 runs.

So Robert Le Kyng make it through to the virtual finals day later in the Spring.
