Job Vacancy - Club EDI Development Officer

Role: Club Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Development Officer

Organisation: Wiltshire Cricket Limited

Contract: Minimum contract, 24 months, 22 hours a week (3 days)

Salary: £18,000 per plus benefits

Introduction to the role

Wiltshire Cricket Limited is currently launching its new strategy for Cricket for 2025-2029, which can be read about here; Beyond Boundaries: Powering Cricket’s Future.

Within this strategy, one of our six strategic pillars is about creating an Inclusive, Diverse and Safe Game. During our previous strategic period, Wiltshire Cricket experienced tremendous growth thanks to increased central investment that allowed to us double in size as a Development Team. This growth led to a significant increase in the breadth of work that we deliver with particular focus around making our game more inclusive through the delivery, for example, of more Women’s and Girls’ Cricket, Disability Cricket, and schools and community programmes.

As we enter this new strategic period, as well as continuing with our breadth of delivery, we want to increase our focus on the cultures that underpin the recreational game in Wiltshire. Whilst there is great work happening on the field to make our cricket clubs more diverse in terms of their playing offers, we want to work with our clubs, leagues and associations to ensure that the experiences off the field are positive and supported by inclusive and diverse decision-making structures.

Safeguarding Statement

Wiltshire Cricket Limited is committed to safeguarding and protecting children, young people and adults at risk to enjoy the game of cricket. Wiltshire Cricket acknowledges its responsibility to safeguard the welfare of every child, young person and adult at risk who has been entrusted to its care, and is committed to ensuring that all children, young people and adults at risk participating in cricket activities have a safe and positive experience. As such, all posts are subject to a safe recruitment process, including the disclosure of criminal records and vetting checks. We ensure that we have a range of policies and procedures in place which promote safeguarding and safer working practice across our services.
