July 2026 upcoming 'Inclusive Clubs' webinars

Coming up this July are two EDI webinars targeting education and implementation of inclusive behaviours and club cultures. Cricket is stronger when cricket accommodates all and we are encouraging our clubs to engage with inclusivity initiatives.

Wiltshire Cricket has made a commitment to make cricket a game for all. These webinars have been designed to offer a reminder about the expectations members have for their cricket clubs and the behaviours and attitudes that clubs can expect from their members. Following this, are the actionable steps that showcase clubs valuing the diversity of membership, aiming to appeal to a wider audience to increase overall membership and attendance at cricket clubs.

The dates and details of the two webinars are as follows:

Monday 6th July 7pm-7:30pm – Behaviours and inclusive facilities

Wednesday 29th July 7pm-7:30pm – Language and social media

The club-facing webinars will be a tool for practical guidance, encouraging more of our clubs to achieve closer to best practice. Greater inclusivity at our clubs promotes growth and stability as wider community members are more openly valued and welcomed.

The outcomes of the club EDI development webinars are to start building confidence to address sensitive topics and reflect on the sense of belonging amongst members in order to create a welcoming and safe environment. Raising awareness of small adjustments that can make a significant impact on people’s experience at a club hopes to support a positive club reputation and club culture to attract greater diversity in membership in.

Autumn 2026 is seeing the addition of in-person club development workshops where Wiltshire Cricket wants to hear about the changes these webinars helped initiate for your club! Be sure to look out for the future dates for upcoming workshops, yet to be released.
