Wiltshire Cricket Affiliated Club Recreational Game Call - Monday 11th May 2026 - Follow up Information

On Monday 11th May, Wiltshire Cricket held its latest affiliated club recreational game call, the new initiative that was launched in 2025 to provide bi-monthly calls for clubs leaders from our affiliated cricket clubs. We aim for these calls to be informative and to provide a more personal and interactive way of us communicating with our club network. We would like to thank all of the clubs that have supported and joined these calls so far … we hope they have been helpful and informative.

Monday’s Numbers:

This was the fourth call that we have delivered since this initiative was launched in November 2026 but we noted that numbers were particularly low for this latest call, which also coincided with it being the first call held during the course of the cricket season. We want these calls to be meaningful for the attendees but also accessible. We also want the calls to be worthwhile for the speakers giving up their time for the calls. With that in mind and in recognition of the low numbers on Monday, we will be pausing these calls until the end of the cricket season. In reality, this just means cancelling July’s call and then resuming from September. This means the next call will take place on Monday 14th September.

Thank you to this month’s guests:

I would like to start by saying thank you to Monday night’s guests and speakers:

  • Ali Goddard, Wiltshire Cricket Development Manager
  • Iestyn Lewis, Wiltshire Cricket County Safeguarding Officer
  • Isla Thomson, Wiltshire Cricket Club EDI Development Officer / Girls Activation Officer
  • Jane Law, South West Regional EDI and Discrimination Advisor
  • Fiona Carter, Game On

All of the speakers above spent considerable time preparing for Monday’s call and so my thanks for their time both during and in advance of Monday evening.
