Lee WardChair

Lee Ward

Lee joined the Board of Directors in March 2013. A strong background in Sport & Leisure Management, he has extensive experience in supporting organisations to get more people playing and engaged in sport and physical activity. Previously holding roles within school and community sport, Lee’s experience as a Leisure Consultant has seen him lead on large scale development projects for sporting organisations such as Sport England as well as working with Councils and Local Authorities to improve their sporting provision. He is currently the Senior Relationship Manager for a National Governing Body of Sport (Badminton England) leading a remote team of managers across the country. 

Lee’s cricket involvement is through being a UKCC2 qualified coach and committee member of Chippenham Cricket Club. He has also held the position of 1st XI Captain for 6 years during which time led the team to promotion into WEPL Premier One for the first time in over 18 years.

Chris SykesFinance Director

Chris Sykes

Chris has been Finance Director since Wiltshire Cricket became incorporated in October 2010, having previously been Treasurer of the old Wiltshire Cricket Board. Chris is also Chairman of the Wiltshire Youth League.

In his professional life, Chris is a chartered accountant having worked for Zurich Financial Services before taking semi retirement in April 2011.

Steve SadlerSenior Independent Director

Steve Sadler

Stephen came on to the Board of Directors in October 2013. Stephen's business career has been in finance and operations, having qualified as a Chartered Accountant, and he has been a Finance Director for a number of public companies, as well as a non-executive Director for a listed company. His current employment is as Group Finance Director for Yattendon Group Plc.

Stephen's cricket involvement in Wiltshire is through being a UKCC2 qualified coach; a qualification he uses to support both Burbage and Easton Royal CC's junior section and the Wiltshire talent pathway programme

Dan HowellsNon-Executive Director

Dan Howells

Dan is an education and charity professional with over 15 years’ experience in supporting young people fulfil their potential through education, with a particular focus on supporting young people from the most economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

Having studied law at University, Dan trained as a secondary school teacher before pursuing a management and leadership career beyond the classroom in leading programme provision to improve access to university, overseeing a leading education charity’s provision as Director of Programmes, to most recently joining the Football Association where Dan is supporting strategy development and delivery as a member of the FA’s Education team and Technical Division.

Having been awarded a scholarship in charity leadership, Dan is also currently studying an MBA at Warwick Business School. Dan is passionate about sport and the role it can play in supporting young people’s confidence, developing life skills and lifelong friendships.

A keen cricketer, Dan currently plays in the Cotswolds league for Ashorne & Moreton Morrell Cricket Club.

Jay KhanNon-Executive Director

Jay Khan

Jay is the Head of Passenger Strategy at Network Rail High Speed Ltd for the past 3 years where the role involves delivering inspirational strategic leadership across three international stations encompassing Operations, Asset management and Facilities. Jay is passionate in delivering World Class service.

He has amassed 17 years’ experience within customer centric organisations having the opportunity to work as General Manager for Phones 4U, Customer Service Manager at British Airways managing all customer touch points in Heathrow, and Area Manager for Premier Inn where he was accountable for 15 hotels across Central London.

Robin HandNon-Executive Director

Robin Hand

Robin has worked in the Civil Service, Nationwide Building Society and, for the last few years, in his own, growing company, Hand and Millar Management Consulting.  Robin is particularly interested in governance, organisation complexity and risk management but most of all in helping individuals, teams and organisations understand and fulfil their potential, whatever that may be.

Robin recently successfully completed an Institute of Leadership and Management Level 7 Executive Coaching course, which built on the MSc completed in Programme and Project Management undertaken at Cranfield University.

Robin has been the Youth Secretary at Marshfield Cricket Club since 2015 where he is responsible for the development of nearly 200 youth players, roughly evenly split between boys and girls.  He is a Level 2 cricket coach and manages a team of increasingly unruly (but talented) U13 girls!

Hazel McCluskeyNon-Executive Director

Hazel McCluskey

Hazel has worked at Sport England in a variety of roles for over 10 years.  In her current role, she is focused on the financial resilience and modernisation of the sport sector.  Hazel has supported a number of different sports with their strategy, governance and revenue generation.  She has also been a member of the England Netball finance and audit committee.  She is very passionate about grass-roots sport and the difference sport and the communities around it can make to peoples’ lives

 

Dominique OughtonNon-Executive Director

Dominique Oughton

Dominique joined the Wiltshire Cricket Board as a Non-Executive Director in June 2026. 

Dominique is a highly experienced strategic leader in sport and health, currently serving as Health & Wellbeing Director at Wiltshire & Swindon Sport. With over 20 years’ experience, she has led major programmes that increase participation, tackle inequalities and deliver measurable community impact. She brings particular strength in partnerships, funding and inclusion, alongside a proven ability to translate strategy into practical outcomes at scale.

 

Fiona AutyNon-Executive Director

Fiona Auty

Fiona joined the Wiltshire Cricket Board as a Non-Executive Director in June 2026. 

Fiona is a Chartered Engineer and senior leader at RWE, where she leads international teams delivering large-scale decarbonisation programmes. She brings extensive experience in governance, risk management and strategic investment, alongside a strong track record of leading complex, multi-partner programmes. Fiona also has direct experience of club governance and development within cricket, including establishing a women’s team and contributing at committee level.

 

Hugh NorrisNon-Executive Director

Hugh Norris

Hugh joined the Wiltshire Cricket Board as a Non-Executive Director in June 2026.

Hugh is a highly experienced Programme Director with over 30 years’ experience leading large-scale transformation programmes across international organisations. He brings deep expertise in governance, financial oversight and delivery of complex change programmes, combined with a strong background in stakeholder management at executive level. Alongside this, Hugh has a long-standing commitment to grassroots cricket, including leadership roles within local clubs and coaching.

 

Pete SykesManaging Director

Pete Sykes

Pete has been with Wiltshire Cricket, initially as Cricket Development Manager and latterly as Managing Director, since February 2009 having previously worked as Cricket Development Officer.

Pete graduated from Exeter University with a degree in Business Economics before heading in to the world of Cricket Development. He is now responsible for leading the Wiltshire Cricket team and ensuring all targets and programmes of work are delivered successfully.
