Dear Members and Friends,
Winsley Cricket Club Cricketers’ Dinner – Saturday 24th March 2012.
This is to let you know that we have organised the above dinner as one of our major fund raising efforts for the new season with the aim of improving the facilities for our Senior and Youth Sections. This year the guest speaker is Graeme Fowler, ex-England, Lancashire and Durham Cricketer. Graeme is currently Senior Coach at the University of Durham School of Excellence and a successful after-dinner speaker.
The event is being held in the Restaurant at St Laurence School in Bradford on Avon. Tickets are priced at £35 per head to include a 3 course dinner (vegetarian option) plus cheese and coffee. Also this year we are selling Sponsors tables for 8 or 10 people at a cost of £50 per head to include a half bottle of wine each. A licensed bar will be available. The evening commences at 7.00 p.m. for drinks with the dinner starting at 7.30 p.m. prompt. Our guest speaker will perform after dinner and the evening will close at 11.30 p.m. The dinner is open to both ladies and gentlemen and the dress code will be lounge suits or smart casual.
Tickets are on sale now and if you know of anyone who would like to receive an invitation, do let me know. We would very much like to see you on the evening either as individuals or as part of a larger party. It will be a great opportunity to meet at the start of the new season in such a unique way, to be entertained and to reminisce about past deeds over a jar of beer or glass of wine.
