ECB Core Coach

The ECB Core Coach programme is an entry level qualification for coaching cricket in England and Wales alongside the ECB Foundation Coach. This programme is one part of a wider strategic response to needing more coaches on the ground able to inspire and develop players.  ECB Core Coach replaces the ECB Certificate in Coaching Children’s Cricket and ECB Certificate in Coaching Young People and Adults’ Cricket provision.

About the programme

This programme has been designed to give learners the knowledge, skills and confidence to lead player-centred coaching sessions.

An ECB Core Coach will be qualified to lead coaching sessions independently and without supervision.

Who is it for?

Anyone aged 17 and over wishing to become qualified to coach cricket, inspire and develop players and make a difference to the game.

Information collected through this form will allow us to advise you on your suitability to attend the ECB Core Coach course. Given the commitment (both time and money) involved in the ECB Core Coach course, and the competencies that will be required to complete it, we want to do all we can in advance of the course to ensure you are booked on to training that is appropriate to your experience and your ambitions.

The minimum number of Learners required for a course to go ahead is 9.
