ECB Core Coach

The ECB Core Coach programme is an entry level qualification for coaching cricket in England and Wales alongside the ECB Foundation Coach. This programme is one part of a wider strategic response to needing more coaches on the ground able to inspire and develop players.  ECB Core Coach replaces the ECB Certificate in Coaching Children’s Cricket and ECB Certificate in Coaching Young People and Adults’ Cricket provision.

The ECB Core Coach course is currently being reimagined, with the intent not to replace what already works, but to build on it. It is being designed to better reflect the diversity of coaches, contexts and development needs across the recreational game. We will update this page with full details when we release details of our 2026-2027 Coach Development Programme.

A full list of upcoming courses is provided at the bottom of this page.
