Safe Hands is the required workshop for all Club Welfare Officers and seeks to ensure that each club is aware of the role of the Club Welfare Officer within the framework of child protection and making clubs a welcome, safe and friendly place for children and young people.
The course will cover core legislation and government guidance, as well as providing the opportunity to share experiences and good practice with other Club Welfare Officers from across the county.
Every Club Welfare Officer must attend this course and it must be renewed every three years.
